5 things you should know about Remindo’s pricing plans

1. Remindo is completely free to use for up to 3 GB of storage – unlimited users, unlimited projects, unlimited clients, unlimited files… you get the idea. Bring in your entire office and your clients. No fear!

2. Detailed pricing plans will be released in April, 2010
We hope to price Remindo on a reasonable, no-bs metric. While we have our own ideas, you can help us find the right brew. Let us know what kind of pricing will work best for your organization here. As always we’ll try our best to get back to you within an hour, 365×24x7

3. So there’s a storage cap but no delete option yet. What’s happening?
We’ve written about this here. Briefly, we’re building the edit and delete feature and if you run out of your free 3GB before we provide it, let us know and we’ll give you more free storage. Fair?

4. Are you saying that even when you release the premium version, I can still continue using my Intranet on Remindo  for free as as long as I stay under 3 GB storage cap?
Yes! But why so surprised? We sure as hell don’t pay for our Gmail, Facebook,Twitter, uTorrent (ahem) and a hundred other awesome apps. The best things on the web come for free. When the premium version is introduced, we will build on top of what you have, nothing will be taken away. We, the people at Remindo cross our collective hearts :)

5. Are you looking for partners, resellers, affiliates etc?
Our efforts are focused on making Remindo useful right now, but if you are interested, please get in touch with us here. Also, if you make software that you think will integrate well with Remindo, please drop us a line.

We have completely overhauled Remindo from the inside-out. Here’s what has changed:

  • A swanky, new UI that puts sharing at the heart of the Remindo experience. This new UI will make navigation simpler and let you interact with your team and clients just like you do on Facebook and Twitter (see this in action!)
  • Personalization and company branding options. You can now personalize your intranet on Remindo with your company logo and get a customized URL like https://intranet.yourcompany.com. After all, if you are a virtual team, nothing says “organized and professional” to your clients like a sleek, personalized intranet plus collaboration space.
  • Email integration. You no longer need to log in to your intranet on Remindo to post comments on discussion threads. Just reply to the notification in your email and the comment will be automatically posted. You can also attach files to these emails and they will be uploaded as well.

Of course, all the other great things about Remindo haven’t changed. Your intranet will be secured with VeriSign SSL and Amazon Web Services (look for the https in the address bar). Support will continue to be 24×7x365.

And just so there’s no confusion regarding this, your secure and free intranet on Remindo will be open to unlimited users, clients and projects.

Free project collaboration means data should be free to move around By Prateek on November 2nd, 2009

Simple question: What happens to your data if we go belly up tomorrow?

We do not provide an import/export data feature in Remindo right now but its one of our top internal dev projects and you should see it live soon.

Once it is released, the new import/export feature will let you export all your data from Remindo as well as let you use exported data from Basecamp.

We understand its importance because quite honestly, if we were to trust our business data to a 3rd party service, we would want to have the freedom to move around our data easily between different software so we don’t ever get locked with one particular project collaboration service provider.

With the clean new look and useful feature additions coming up, we hope that you will never want to use the export feature :)

Remindo 1.0 is just around the corner! By Prateek on October 28th, 2009

A couple of months ago we announced that a clean new look for Remindo was coming up soon and now here we are!

The new user interface is being tested and its performing really well. The internal feedback has been very positive and we can’t wait to roll it out for everyone to see :)

What we did not tell you then was that the new UI is a part of a much larger release that address various perfromance issues. We are introducing a host of new useful features and making older ones more accessible (and hopefully more useful).

Here’s what to expect:

  • Increased project visibility – a completely new navigation system that will let you manage multiple projects from a common dashboard.
  • Increased personal milestone visibility across all projects – you will now see them on the dashboard.
  • An all new activity feed – It will keep you updated on all projects. Think of it like the facebook news feed, except instead of telling you about lost sheep, it will help you in project planning, task tracking and participating in discussions with your team and clients.
  • A much faster user experience – a whole lot of performance issues have been fixed with code and query optimizations

There is a lot more juice packed in (especially for freelancers and small business owners), just hang in for a little while longer!

And did I mention that Remindo will continue to be a free project collaboration and management software?

Clean New Look – coming soon By Rehan yar Khan on August 21st, 2009

When we started work on Remindo last year, we spent a lot of time on the design, because design is just so important to us. Yet, within a year and even before our 1.0 release we seem to have outgrown the design we started with. This happened mainly due to the way we found ourselves interacting with the design as our features came to life. We felt the design did not have enough space and gave the feel of a crowded screen.

The design you see here is based largely on internal and user feedback received. It gives a feeling of space, without compromising on convenient functionality and it’s more contemporary in the use of colors and graphics. We are now busy turning this design into code for the upcoming 1.0 release in October. We hope you like what you see and would love to hear your view.

Getting a new employee set up to instant message within your company can be a time consuming pain in the neck.
They have to install the IM software, make connections with everyone in the company, create groups to organize their contact lists… Wait a minute. No, they install the software, then they set up groups and then add contacts to those groups… No, wait, they set up groups, then install… Oh forget it. It’s just easier to use Remindo.
Here’s the tricky part about IM with Remindo… hmmm… I guess there is no tricky part. The new employee just registers with your company on Remindo and well, there is no and! That’s it.

When they log on, they’ll find that they already have IM set up, they’re already in their proper grouping on the contacts list, they already have everyone in the company on the list, and they even have non-company people like clients and partners on their contact list if those people have registered with the company on Remindo. And since Remindo is web-based, they didn’t have to load anything on their computer.

What a relief.

I guess your new employees won’t have any excuse for killing time the first three days they work for you.

Welcome!!!!

You’ve heard the saying, the more things change, the more they stay the same?

That doesn’t fly here at Remindo.  When we change Remindo, we constantly add new features and functions to help you work better.  If you haven’t been here before, this will all be new to you.  GREAT!  If you’ve been to Remindo before, you may notice that some of your feedback has been included in the site.  Once again, GREAT!

To show you all the cool new features, we need you to login.  BE SURE to use your corporate email address when you login.  If you don’t, you won’t be able to take advantage of some of the stuff we’ve added.

  • Corporate Network. Using your email address, we AUTOMATICALLY create a corporate network for you.  No one has to go in and figure out how to set it up because we do it for you.  If there’s a network already, we add you to it.
  • All the Project Management features you need, and none you don’t want. We’ll help you track everything the company’s doing with our corporate-wide Milestones and To-do lists.  Share documents with free storage.  Everyone can see and download the latest on the new corporate initiative, the next product release, and the upcoming party.   How?  Start by clicking the “Milestones,” “To-do,” and “Documents” links to plan the next happening.
  • Tweeting. You want to know what’s going on in the office.  Your coworkers want to know what you’re up to.  Sometimes you just want people to know what’s on your mind.  Use the Talk function to tweet to your team.  That will keep you and your friends up to date.
  • Groups focused on what you are really doing. We provide an easy way set up groups according to your organization’s hierarchy.  That way you can make the structure in your corporate network reflect your reality.   When you login, click on the “Navigate Groups” tab to see if your teammates have set up groups.  You can join a group, or create your own by clicking the “create group” button.   This creates online workspaces around as many specific teams and projects as you want. There’s no limit!
  • Group Project Management.  Did you think that the cool features are only available for the corporate network.  Each group can have its own individual Milestones, To-dos, and Documents.  Go into the group you just created (use the “NAVIGATE GROUPS” button) and start creating some To-dos for your team and then Tweet a message telling them what you’ve done.
  • Expand your team. We all know that there’s more to your team than those sitting within the office’s 4 walls.  Click on invite to invite partners, customers, and clients to your corporate network, or go to People to invite people to each group.
  • Become more intelligent. Ok, we can’t make you smart, but we can sure give you the feeds to help you along.  The User Dashboard provides customizable RSS feeds for news, sports, competitor information, and industry happenings.  So now you don’t have to go searching for all this stuff, it comes right to your Dashboard.  Click on the “DASHBOARD” to customize your news.
  • Create online productivity. Now you’re logged in, you’ve created groups, you have your teams, and you know what’s going on in the industry and the world.  Now is the time get productive.  Set your milestones and track them on the calendar.  Share files and store them in the massive amounts of online storage we give you.  Send messages to your friends, and we’ll keep the message thread for your teammate.
    And remember to have some fun!

We’re super excited to be adding some new features that we really think changes the game.

As you all know, Remindo has always been about being social in the office.  It started with external information–ways to manage your contacts, ways to share competitive and market intelligence, and now, it’s about social productivity!

What’s social productivity? Simply put, it’s a better way to get projects done at the office.  And in the latest release, we’ve added a bunch of social productivity features like:

  • Shared calendars, todos, and milestones. Now, you can manage your projects from a shared location on the web.  No more passing spreadsheets around via email.  It’s truly a great feature we’ve been using a ton inside Remindo for a while. You should find it super easy to get organized and keep everyone aware of what’s happening and what needs to get done.
  • Message threads. Now, you can discuss topics, respond, and organize your project, and it’s all in organized and in the right place.  Message threads are great for sorting, organizing information, brainstorming, tracking comments, really just about anything that involves messages. We use it to track versions of documents and to brainstorm mostly. But, you can use it for virtually anything.
  • Shared file storage. All the files you use for the project can now be stored in 1 place.  No more searching around for the right file.  It’s always up and available on Remindo.
  • Unlimited projects. When you check out Remindo, you’ll realize just how powerful this feature is.  You can have unlimited projects!  Organize your team, the retreat, an event you’re managing, even project manage your products!  You can organize your team any way you want.

There are a ton of other features under the hood (like inviting people from other companies onto your projects). So, check it out, dig around, and let us know what you think!
